How do I stop a single app from showing in the list of updates? I disable many apps installed by the carrier as soon as I setup a new phone but they still show up in google play's list of apps that have updates. I would like to be able to just hit update all and have it update all apps except the ones I disabled.
I want my auto updates over Wifi to happen in the middle of the night. They currently happen from 10pm. Can I change the timing? I've always manually updated. My bigger concern has been when a current version of an app in the Play Store simply doesn't work on either my old J or stupidly balky new M tablets - everything works great on L.
Usually I can sideload an APK for an older version that serves the purpose but then the new version shows up in Play Store waiting to be updated, and I have to remember to avoid it. This is true for some mainstream apps like Skype and Kindle. I'd like to instruct - either in Play Store settings or the device App settings - to stop updates at the current version and get them out of sight.
Yup, totally agree. And it's annoying when it shows you all the old stuff. A filter to transfer the stuff so that it doesn't Display the old or unwanted apps would be of great service..
My problem is, i turned auto update off and its still off but i wake up every morning with no space on my phone.
I thought most of us knew that there were these options in play settings. It's good to know that you try to bring new people along. This may help. After changing the setting to "Do not auto-update", I noticed all apps were updating automatically.
What do you actually see on the screen? Describe any notifications or other messages. Sounds like either malware, or someone with access to your account pushing these apps from the Play Store's web interface. Did this start happening after you installed a new app? Try changing your Google account password or setting up 2-factor authentication. Add a comment.

If you try clearing the playstore data, it wont work at all. And the kill switch to solve this problem is to use an Antivirus. Sometimes the apps we download contains adwares which in returns gets other unwanted apps installed onto your device without your permission and brings pop up advertisements too.
So just uninstall the most recently downloaded apps and hopefully this problem will be solved. We would recommend this process as a user can get to know which app or the source of this problem. A restart is needed on your device, once the restart is done you will be asked to enter your password once again and your problem will be solved. Rogue apps are basically apps that access your data and misuse it.
They basically get downloaded on their own and if a user isn't aware of its presence then it can harm your smartphone too. If you can see it then delete it immediately.
Please do not click on advertisements or any other sort of pop-ups. They are dangerous and harmfull. Pop-ups, especially bring malware to your device and even installs unwanted apps too. If none of the above options have worked for you connect your device to your computer or take a backup in your smartphone itself and execute a factory reset.
Back up your data first and then reset your smartphone. As Android is a open source platform malwares and virus enter your smartphones easily and lodge on your memory card. So once in while do take backup of your important data and format your memory card. In most of the cases, the apps are seen only getting auto-updated if you are joined to a Wi-Fi network.
Stop auto-update for individual apps: If you are turning off the auto-update for all the apps, there is a chance that your apps may get outdated to a risky old version. And, you would not be able to use the latest features that just appeared in a new update. So, instead of turning off updates for all the app, you can prevent the apps individually. The Google Play Store offers a setting you can choose to stop auto-update for individual apps.
I heart about Whatsapp GB Application. I understand we should install only for the official application. Thank you My Sir. Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Pinterest. You may also like. About the author.
