Now, this method is a little more complicated but would let you install all kinds of browsers on your Android TV. These apps would work or not, that is an entirely different argument. You can simply go to the play store and install the app from there. Launch the app from the drawer. Now we need to download the APK for the web browser. You may have to grant an exception to ES File Explorer and allow the installation of the app from unknown sources.
The option is generally available in Settings. Enable the apps to grant access to let them sideload apps. To get around this problem, you can install another app that lets you see the app icons of sideloaded apps as well. For example, you can use Google account to:. Nonetheless, while trying to enter these applications, some users say that they cannot sign in Google account on their Android phone and wish to get the solutions of this problem.
In fact, this problem is resolvable but the means that you can use are different cause the problem could happen in disparate cases:. This would be convenient but it would make the users forget the password as well;. And when you fail to recall the password, the only thing you can do to enter your account is to reset your account password.
Why you needed to sideload it?????? Why would one sideload a plugin for a browser when presumably one could sideload the original app that had the browser included? Just seems like that would make more sense if already going the sideloading route? Any suggestions or tips on how to make this work for me? Thanks again for all the great work you do with this site I have 3 Devices and the Shield and the software.
The fix is to give the app file access permission. This can be done under the device settings or by uninstalling and then reinstalling the app and making sure to ALLOW permissions when asked. Thanks for the response. I have tried the fix you mentioned to no avail. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and still get the restricted access on the browser tab of downloader.
I have downloaded the add on 2 different ways and still not working. I have the same issue as Brian and nothing has worked to resolve this problem. Tip 1. Tip 2. Forget the Android TV box network If the above method doesn't work, you can choose to have your Android TV box forget the network and add again. Tip 3. Tip 4. Check out the advanced settings of WiFi If none of the above can solve the problem, the next thing to do is to go into the Android TV box, the advanced settings of Android TV box WiFi and make the relevant settings.
Tip 5. For security reasons, Android TV can not install third-party applications for Android apps. There you will find Unknown sources, simply select Enable. If that is too much trouble for you, then you can use several Cloud Services to gain access to your APK file. Once that is done, open the ES File Explorer app.
Go to Network by sliding the left window and selecting cloud.
